When I write a book, I keep a running playlist on my phone of songs that remind me of the story, characters, scenes, moments, feelings, everything. Each song is on there for a different reason. I listen to the playlist while I'm writing, and while I'm going about my life. It helps me keep my head in the story. The playlist turns into the "soundtrack" for the book.
